Job Description A London Borough is seeking an Experienced Adults Lawyer to join their legal team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled local government lawyer who is available at short notice and can hit the ground running. The Role You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation on a range of matters relating to: Adult Social Care Mental Health Law Court of Protection proceedings Managing your own caseload, you will advise client departments and conduct a varied workload of Court of Protection matters, ensuring the provision of pragmatic and solution-focused legal support. To be considered, you must have: Significant experience working within a Local Authority legal team Strong knowledge of legislation relating to Adult Social Care, Mental Health, and the Court of Protection Proven experience managing a busy Court of Protection caseload independently Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Good IT skills, including experience using legal case management systems and recording time and case information accurately The ability to start at short notice Hybrid working This role would suit an experienced local government Adult Social Care Lawyer looking for their next interim assignment with an organisation that requires immediate support.
