Job Overview

A local authority in the East Midlands is seeking an Adult Social Care Lawyer for an initial period of three months, starting ASAP and potentially available until early January 2026.

Responsibilities

Handle a full and complex caseload that includes Care Act matters, no recourse to public funds, ordinary residence, mental capacity, age assessments and other adult social care issues, without the need for supervision.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with litigation rights and an active practising certificate.
  • Experience handling adult social care cases as described in the responsibilities.

Working Details

Pay rate: £27-50 per hour. Hybrid working basis with office attendance 1‑2 days per week.
