LAW Absolute are working with a local authority based in East Anglia who are currently seeking an experienced SEND Lawyer for an initial 3-month locum assignment, with a strong likelihood of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for a local government lawyer who can join the team and hit the ground running from day one.
Key Details- Full-time assignment
- Remote working, with attendance in the office once per month for team meetings
- Remote advocacy at court hearings required, except for final hearings
- Initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension
Applicants must:
- Have substantial experience handling the full range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) matters
- Be capable of managing a full and varied SEND caseload independently
- Provide legal advice across all areas of SEND work, including Tribunal matters
- Be confident undertaking advocacy at remote hearings
- Require minimal supervision and be able to integrate quickly into an established team
We are keen to hear from qualified Solicitors, Barristers or Fellow Legal Executives with a strong SEND background within local government or the public sector.
