A government body are seeking a Senior Associate Lawyer to join their public law team to focus on criminal litigation work. This is a full-time role, for an initial 6 month contract and requires 2 days a week in their London office (Southwark).
As the Senior Associate Lawyer, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting litigation in criminal proceedings, primarily fare evasion prosecutions and prosecutions under taxi and private hire vehicle legislation.
- Conducting advocacy in the magistrates’ courts if required.
- Drafting and reviewing witness statements, managing disclosure, and corresponding with litigants or their representatives.
To be considered you will have a minimum of 3 years PQE as a Lawyer, and you must have demonstrable criminal litigation experience. Experience of public and regulatory law and/or familiarity with compliance and enforcement is desirable.
Day rate: £343.53 holiday per day PAYE or £525.72 per day Umbrella.
