Our client, a luxury goods company, is seeking an accomplished Head of Legal to join its senior leadership team.
Role details:
- Initial 3-month contract with the potential to go permanent
- Hybrid - 4 days per week in the office
- ASAP start - candidates must be available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice
The Head of Legal will act as the organisation’s primary legal authority, advising the CEO, COO, and wider Executive Team across all areas of legal, regulatory, and governance activity. You will undertake the following:
- Lead and manage all legal work across the business, including commercial contracts, corporate matters, procurement, data protection, distribution, HR and employment, and brand protection.
- Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property, regulatory and compliance frameworks, market expansion, and packaging/logistics.
- Oversee compliance, risk management, and adherence to applicable food & drink, production, and commercial regulations.
About You:
- Qualification as a UK Solicitor/Barrister/CILEX with substantial PQE.
- Experience advising senior executives and interacting confidently at Board level.
- A background in FMCG, luxury goods, food & drink, or another regulated sector is highly desirable.
- Consumer experience is essential.
- Strong capability in commercial, corporate, regulatory, Employment/HR, data protection, and IP matters.
- Excellent judgement, negotiation skills, and the ability to balance risk with commercial opportunity.
- A collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach.
