A government department responsible for growing and developing grassroots sport and getting more people active across England is looking for an Interim Legal Counsel for an initial 3-month contract.
The Role: As the Legal Counsel, you will join the Legal Services team to support providing comprehensive professional legal advice on a whole spectrum of legal issues. Day to day you will be responding to requests from the organisation including:
- Drafting grant award and/or funding agreements, supply agreements
- Advising on company, charity, intellectual property and property law
- Company administration
- FOI applications
- GDPR
About You: To be considered, you should be:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister (UK or equivalent jurisdiction) with at least 3 years PQE.
- Previous practical legal post qualification experience including but not limited to administrative, commercial, property law and/or experience of negotiating and drafting contracts
- Experience of working within a public body - desirable
- Experience of public procurement and/or intellectual property - desirable
Salary: This role offers a day rate of £230.77 + holiday pay PAYE or £320.29 Umbrella. You should expect to attend the office two days a week (London).
