LAW Absolute are working with a well-regarded London Local Authority seeking a Commercial Paralegal to join their dynamic Property, Contracts & Planning team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your public sector legal career, working on a varied caseload that directly supports key council services and projects.

The Role

You’ll provide high-quality paralegal support across a collaborative legal team, working closely with solicitors on a range of matters, including:

  • Commercial contracts and procurement matters
  • Property transactions and landlord & tenant work
  • Right to Buy matters
  • Planning and development-related legal work
  • Drafting, reviewing and amending legal documents
  • Legal research and case preparation
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and external parties

About You

To be considered, you must have:

  • Previous experience in at least one of the following areas: Commercial Contracts, Property, or Planning law - previous property experience would be the most desirable
  • Experience working in a legal environment (private practice or public sector)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
