Remote Working | 1 Day Per Month Office Attendance | Immediate Start

We are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a busy Adults Social Care Legal Team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a local authority legal service, working predominantly remotely with just one office-based day per month. This is an initial three-month contract role.

The Role

Working under the supervision of senior lawyers, you will provide essential legal and administrative support to the Adults Social Care team, helping to deliver an efficient and effective legal service to the Council.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal support to the Adults Social Care legal team.
• Assist in delivering an efficient and effective legal service to the Council.
• Undertake routine legal work under the supervision of a Senior Lawyer.
• Prepare and manage legal documentation, correspondence and case files.
• Support the management team with the administration of team procedures and meetings.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Lexcel procedures.
• Carry out duties in a proactive and professional manner, aligned with the Council's objectives and values.

Requirements

• Previous paralegal experience, ideally within a local authority or public sector legal environment.
• Previous paralegal experience, either as a childcare paralegal or adult social care paralegal.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under supervision.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting Adult Social Care legal matters would be advantageous.

Package

• Start Date: ASAP
• Working Pattern: Hybrid (1 day per month in the office, remainder remote)
• PAYE Rate: £20.55 per hour
• Umbrella/Limited Company Rate: £26.77 per hour
