Overview

A local authority based in South London is seeking a Prosecutions Lawyer for an initial period of three months.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on a broad range of matters including benefit fraud, fly tipping, noise pollution, health and safety, food hygiene, licensing, trading standards, housing benefit fraud, council tax fraud and planning contraventions.
  • Attend court on behalf of clients at both the Magistrates and Crown Courts.

Requirements

  • Previous local government experience would be preferred.
  • You must have a current practising certificate to be considered for the role.
  • Available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice. This is a hybrid role.

Remuneration and terms

Pay rate for the role is dependent on experience between £35-55 per hour. This is a hybrid role.
