We are currently working with a well-respected firm who are seeking a Dispute Resolution Solicitor for a locum/permanent contract based in Potters Bar.
About the firm:
They are a well-established firm of solicitors based in North London and Hertfordshire offering specialised advice and an efficient, high-quality service for over 50 years. Their reputation is founded on their commitment to legal excellence, a pragmatic and straightforward approach, and an understanding of their clients' needs whether an individual or a large organisation. Their clients have included local individuals as well as international organisations and government departments.
About the role:
The vacancy is for a solicitor with around 10 years PQE. You will be able to run your own caseload with no supervision and have the opportunity to expand the department by re-establishing connections with clients and creating new relationships with clients generated within the firm from the property work and build on the existing client relationships.
What they are looking for:
- Experience with general litigation caseload with a mix of property litigation (residential and commercial landlord and tenant).
- Experience of general contract disputes and forfeiture and dilapidation claims for commercial properties and an interest in the property side of litigation.
- Must know your way around a residential and commercial lease.
- If you have done probate disputes and inheritance act claims, that is an advantage.
- Must be able to handle a busy caseload and work to court deadlines, be organised, and communicate well verbally and in writing with clients and colleagues alike.
- Advocacy experience for remote timetabling hearings is essential.
- Instructing Counsel to attend hearings is the preferred method to the solicitor attending in person hearings.
