Our client is looking for a Restaurant Manager for their luxury hotel in Hertfordshire. The property is high profile, serving quality cuisine at 2 rosette level, to customers in a formal environment. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to hotel guests, corporate groups and external customers.
The Restaurant Manager's focus will be the consistent delivery of high standards of service. A key area of responsibility will be training staff to the correct level and managing the assistant manager and supervisors to ensure that service standards remain the same when the successful candidate is off.
Responsibilities:
- Have the drive to develop the restaurant product and the people around you.
- Ensure the team have a natural passion for delivering great service and entrepreneurial drive for up-selling.
- Be involved in the marketing strategy and be commercially aware in promoting the restaurant.
- Ensure the team have excellent product knowledge of all menus.
- Performance management of the team through training, coaching and support.
- Set, implement and maintain restaurant SOPs.
You should have strong leadership qualities, be a good communicator and very ambitious in nature.
Experience and Skills required:
- Experience in a restaurant management role is essential.
- Must have previous fine dining experience and worked to AA standards.
- Good knowledge of food and wines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and train staff.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Able to work within budgets.
My client is offering the successful Restaurant Manager a salary between £35,000 and £38,000 plus tips. 5 out of 7 days. 28 Days Holiday including bank holidays.
