We are looking for a
Restaurant Host to join our talented LAVO team.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will create a warm and polished welcome, manage reservations and table allocations, and support the smooth flow of service across the restaurant and bar.
Working closely with the restaurant leadership and service teams, you will anticipate guest needs and help create memorable experiences that reflect LAVO and The Bo Tree’s luxury standards and values.
The Role
Key responsibilities include
- Welcome every guest warmly and professionally, creating an exceptional first and lasting impression.
- Manage reservations, table allocations and the guest waiting list accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate closely with the restaurant leadership, bar and service teams to support a seamless flow of service.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests, feedback and concerns, taking ownership to achieve positive outcomes.
- Build meaningful relationships with guests, recognising returning visitors and anticipating individual preferences and needs.
- Maintain a visible and welcoming presence at the restaurant reception and ensure the entrance area is presented to the highest standard.
- Use reservation systems accurately, maintaining up-to-date guest profiles, bookings and special requirements.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues regarding VIPs, celebrations, dietary requirements and other important guest information.
- Foster a culture of genuine hospitality, teamwork and service excellence, contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
About You
You will have experience in a guest-facing hospitality role, ideally as a Restaurant Host within a high-volume or luxury restaurant, and understand the important role the welcome experience plays in creating memorable visits.
Passionate about hospitality, you will bring professionalism, attention to detail and confidence when engaging with guests.
You will remain composed during busy services and take pride in delivering personalised, attentive service.
You bring warmth, positive energy and a willingness to support colleagues wherever needed, contributing to a culture where both guests and team members can flourish.
We're looking for someone with
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Host or in a similar guest-facing restaurant role.
- Experience working in a high-volume environment, with the ability to remain calm and organised during busy services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build rapport with guests and colleagues.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage reservations, table plans and guest requirements accurately.
- Familiarity with Seven Rooms, Open Table or a similar reservations platform is desirable.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and operational demands.
