The Role
- Receive and inspect all deliveries, ensuring goods match purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Check the quality, quantity and condition of all products, reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately recorded and processed in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Maintain organised, clean and safe receiving and storage areas in line with food safety and health & safety standards.
- Rotate stock using FIFO principles and ensure products are stored correctly.
- Distribute goods efficiently to the appropriate departments across the hotel.
- Liaise with Back of House Manager and internal departments to resolve delivery queries and discrepancies.
- Support stock control processes, inventory checks and monthly stocktakes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food hygiene, HACCP and sustainability initiatives.
About You
You will have experience within a stores or goods receiving environment, ideally within hospitality or a luxury hotel. You will understand the importance of accuracy, organisation and teamwork in supporting the hotel's daily operation. You bring a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high standards while delivering an efficient and professional service.
We're looking for someone with:
- Experience in goods receiving, stores and stock control.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of stock rotation, food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Experience using purchasing or inventory systems is advantageous.
- A positive, reliable and collaborative approach to work.
