We are looking for an Office Manager who can run a creative office based in Aldgate for a 12 to 15 month maternity cover. Our client is a leading, independent design and communications agency and their portfolio of clients ranges from start-ups to established global brands across a broad range of areas from luxury to everyday home brands. They are a passionate, friendly and collaborative company of around 55 people based in gorgeous, open plan offices in Aldgate.
Their 3 partners are looking for a super organised, personable Office Manager to run the office and be the go-to person for HR, health and safety and office related matters. The role needs someone with a proactive approach and at least two years’ experience under their belt in a similar sized office, who can dive into a fast-paced creative agency and hit the ground running.
Responsibilities:- Facilities management of an office with 56 employees, including liaising with external contractors, building management and the Landlord
- Ensuring office is fully stocked with all supplies
- IT management, including initial support then referring to relevant IT specialist for support
- Health & Safety management
- Resource management, including producing weekly design schedule and freelance management
- Finance, payroll and insurance assistance
- Company event organization
- HR management, including recruitment, performance management, contract management, note taking, review management and absence management
As the Office Manager you will be the first point of contact for HR and office related matters and this role is fundamental to the smooth running of the agency. As a result, it needs someone who enjoys wearing many hats, will get involved in all aspects of agency life, and who can remain calm and collected in a fast-paced environment.
The right candidate will have at least 2-5 years’ experience in office management in a similar environment. They would love someone who is proactive and can suggest ways to make things more efficient, but who is also willing to muck in and roll up their sleeves. This role would suit someone from a creative industry, whether an agency, consumer brand, fashion house or alike, who is comfortable with the ever-changing nature of a creative company.
This role is office based 3 days per week with flex for 2 days working from home. The current Office Manager will be leaving in July or August for a 12 month maternity leave and they are looking for someone to join them from June for a substantial handover.
