Location: Primarily based at our Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) facility in Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel will be required

Qualification Goal: PCN Level 2 in Manual Ultrasonic Testing (MUT)

Duration: 12-month apprenticeship with the opportunity for permanent employment upon successful completion and review

Role Overview

Lavender International is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing Ultrasonics team as an Apprentice in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). This is an excellent opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications and valuable hands-on experience within a global training provider.

As a leading NDT apprenticeship provider, Lavender International offers a structured and supportive learning environment. You will participate in our internal Level 2 apprenticeship scheme, benefiting from one-on-one mentoring, project-based learning, and practical training. Upon completion, you will achieve your PCN Level 2 certification in Manual Ultrasonic Testing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of training materials and ensure all equipment is operational
  • Maintain accurate training and examination records in line with BINDT and client requirements
  • Support the delivery of high-quality training by aiding instructors in both theory and practical sessions
  • Perform equipment calibration and assist in maintaining practical training environments
  • Monitor inventory and maintain cleanliness and organisation of all learning areas
  • Invigilate and/or mark PCN examinations in accordance with CP/09 and CP/22 standards
  • Stay up to date with personal certifications and skills relevant to the role

What We\’re Looking For

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, including basic software applications
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to work
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel both within the UK and internationally
  • Good foundational knowledge of mathematics and English
  • Confidence in presenting or speaking in group settings

Desirable Qualifications

  • GCSEs (Grade A*–C / 9–4) in Maths and English
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
