About The Role

As a Press Setter / Production Operative, you will be responsible for adhering to and meeting the production output targets according to the MRP schedules. You will work under the guidance of the Line Manager and Production Coordinator to meet the company\’s values and mission statement.

You will report to the Team Leader and be based at Springfields.

Key Responsibilities

• Refer to Quality Procedures
• Understand pressing processes
• Set tooling competently, with relevant experience or training
• Knowledge of and trained in PUWER regulations
• Familiar with manufacturing processes
• Operate mechanical and fly presses confidently
• Refer to drawings and work instructions accurately
• Use micrometers, verniers, and digital measuring equipment proficiently

Qualifications

• Perform general duties or tasks as required by management
• Promote and adhere to press safety regulations; report concerns immediately
• Maintain a safe working environment (H&S)
• Ensure productivity standards are met
• Maintain discipline within your area
• Manage your time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
• Foster good team morale
• Implement policies, procedures, and working documents as required
• Assist in training employees
• Support the team effectively
• Update daily tick lists and charts within the required timeframe
