You will report to the Manager, Electrical, Control, and I&C Integration and be located at Westlakes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of EC&I drawings: Block Cable Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams etc.
- Production of cable calculations by hand or in Amtech and lighting calculations in Dialux/Relux.
- Checking of others work ensuring that design deliverables are produced to a high standard and compliant with all relevant internal and client procedures.
- Production of technical documents such as Basis of Design, Testing Strategies/Schedules, Method Statements etc.
- Take ownership of design deliverables throughout the design, construction, installation, commissioning, operations and decommissioning phases of a project and ensure that the Design Intent is maintained.
- Produce and check CDM Risk Registers.
- Produce and check documentation required for Technical Files of new products / plant and equipment.
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years' experience in industry - of which at least 2 years at Engineer level - nuclear industry or other highly regulated sector preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Chartered Member of the IET (preferred).
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
- Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes and directives and how they should be applied.
- Proven knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques of EC&I design.
- Strong knowledge in the production of Technical Files for new products / plant and equipment.
