An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our finance department based in Basingstoke, North Hampshire. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance & Reporting, the FP&A Analyst plays a critical role within the organisation acting as a dedicated finance business partner to key business stakeholders.
This opportunity requires a candidate with strong commercial awareness. The candidate will be expected to work cross-functionally partnering with Sales to support new/existing business opportunities by providing insights, appraising the viability of business proposals, and refining commercial toolkits for new concepts. The candidate will have the opportunity to streamline existing processes and build governance around them, offering great potential for growth and development in the Commercial Finance world.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Producing routine business Scorecards/Reports in a timely manner for various stakeholders.
- Providing summaries and reasoning for trends and business performance.
- Tracking revenue/cost performance vs comparators and highlighting key variances with a summary of drivers.
- Providing insights on wins/losses throughputs and Solution performance.
- Business partnering with key stakeholders building forecasts/budgets and driving efficiency.
- Analysing the impact of new product innovations and financial implications (volume, sales & margin).
- Partnering with Marketing and Sales analysing performance of new product launches.
- Supporting the creation of Business Charters (NPD); ensuring accurate financials are created.
- Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in the budgeting and forecasting process for sales and costs.
- Providing ad-hoc analysis/support as required for the wider demand function.
- Supporting in the S&OP process, Forecast consolidation and accuracy.
- Building great business partnering relationships with the management team for your business area, being a trusted advisor and able to both challenge and support.
- Delivering best in class analysis, reporting, insight and financial mentorship.
- Delivering detailed analysis and recommendations for commercial deals, business decisions, and investment appraisals/business cases.
- Delivering accurate financial planning deliverables, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, and strategic long-range plans.
- Interpreting and driving actions off the back of monthly results, working with our management Accounts Team.
- Managing risks and opportunities for your business area, ensuring ‘no surprises’.
Qualifications required:
- University Degree qualified.
- Ideally qualified or Part Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or studying towards a financial qualification.
Experience is required in:
- SAP is ESSENTIAL.
- Experience in Analysis and Management accounts.
- Experience in Business Partnering.
- A track record of delivery and ambition in your career so far and a desire to develop.
- Strong Excel Skills and MS Suite skills.
The successful candidate will be required to complete and satisfy a DBS check. All applicants should be UK based due to the interview process.
