What is the role
- Member of the UK management accounting team which covers management accounting, forecasting and business partnering support, across all areas of the financial statements including Fixed Assets, Stock, Revenue and Cost reporting.
- Reports to Financial Control Manager, to provide key support to the Management Accountant team and UK Financial Controller.
- Ensure month and year end management accounting tasks are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
- Manage key banking processes, including conducting daily banking allocation tasks ensuring accounts are accurate and cash reported correctly.
- Managing expense reporting and ensuring compliance with controls, whilst providing support to the business as required.
- Provide cover for other team members.
- Take ownership of agreed P&L and balance sheet areas, working with the business on driving performance improvement actions, and implementing or maintaining associated controls.
- Support Financial Control Manager and Financial Control team in delivering key Financial Control team activities.
- Work on the month end process, ensuring that all deadlines are met, that accurate accruals, prepayments and other financial entries are complete.
- Assist in preparing variance reporting and analysis for month-end review and understand drivers behind differences.
- Assist in completing thorough and robust balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reporting.
- Review and approve payments and bank reconciliation, including cash forecasting.
- Assist in the monthly intercompany process, helping to prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, posting and raising intercompany invoices and arranging intercompany payments.
- When required, assist with the preparation of the monthly VAT return, EC sales list and Intrastat submissions.
- Assist with interim and year end audit processes.
Business Partnering responsibilities
- Work with the Management Accountant to assist in preparing accurate, concise and user-friendly month end packs.
- Create concise, user-friendly cost centre reviews to allow discussion with cost centre managers to monitor and control costs.
- Utilise knowledge of the business to assist in responding to finance queries as they fall due to support business decision making.
- Work with colleagues in finance and the wider business to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all that you do.
- Ad hoc variance reporting should also be prepared as required.
Ad Hoc Accounting tasks
- Other ad hoc and regular tasks / reporting as required by the Management Accountant/ Financial Controller/ FD/ HQ.

The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in Basingstoke. They must be UK based for the interview process. Background checks will be completed which will include a DBS check. We do not offer sponsorship for this role.
