We are looking for an experienced Tekla Detailer / Tekla Draughtsperson to join our team, producing detailed Tekla Structures models, General Arrangement (GA) drawings and fabrication drawings for a range of structural steelwork and architectural metalwork projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Steel Detailer or Tekla Structures Detailer to work on a diverse portfolio of projects within a well-established and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 3D Tekla Structures models from architectural and structural engineering drawings.
- Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, material reports and project documentation.
- Interpret engineering calculations, specifications and project requirements.
- Ensure all drawings comply with British Standards and fabrication requirements.
- Work closely with architects, structural engineers, project managers and fabrication teams to resolve technical detailing queries.
- Support projects from design through to fabrication and installation. Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a Tekla Detailer, Tekla Draughtsperson, Steel Detailer or similar (flexibility for the right candidate).
- Strong knowledge of Tekla Structures, structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings.
- Experience detailing structural steelwork and architectural metalwork.
- Auto CAD and Microsoft Excel experience.
- Previous UK experience working to British Standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of steel fabrication processes.
