Join a Growing Structural Steel Specialist

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding structural steelwork company seeking an experienced Tekla Draughtsperson to join their technical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of structural steelwork and architectural metalwork projects across the UK, producing high-quality fabrication models and drawings for prestigious commercial and industrial developments. The Role

  • Producing accurate General Arrangement (GA), fabrication and assembly drawings using Tekla Structures.
  • Developing detailed 3D fabrication models for structural steel and architectural metalwork.
  • Interpreting architectural and structural engineering drawings, specifications and design information.
  • Generating material lists, reports and fabrication information.
  • Liaising with engineers, architects, project managers and production teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Ensuring all drawings comply with current British Standards, project specifications and industry best practice.
  • Managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

About You

  • Strong experience using Tekla Structures (typically 5+ years, although candidates with slightly less experience and the right ability will also be considered).
  • Experience producing fabrication drawings within the structural steel industry.
  • A solid understanding of structural steelwork and architectural metalwork.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working on UK projects and producing drawings to British Standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
