Exciting Opportunity: Our platform processes millions of messages between guests and hosts, facilitating smooth communication about accommodations and stay details. Questions range from logistical queries such as booking entry to policies like bringing a pet. Lavanda is committed to providing guests with the best possible experience, including rapid responses to inquiries.
To enhance our guest experience further, we are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to lead the development of our in‑house conversational messaging platform. This role will focus on integrating advanced AI capabilities, including GPT-4, to deliver fast and precise responses to guest inquiries and improve overall communication efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a robust conversational messaging platform using Node.js, enhancing it with AI technologies like GPT-4 to automate responses.
- Work collaboratively and independently within a team of three developers focused on various aspects of our product and platform.
- Take responsibility for individual feature development while contributing to team discussions on code reviews and system architecture.
- Coordinate with the Head of Engineering to plan and execute the development roadmap for the messaging system.
- Implement best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Node.js in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with NestJS is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration into development processes.
- A strong commitment to testing and quality assurance.
- Experience or familiarity with service-oriented architecture, preferably using Kafka as an event bus.
