We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Intervention & Inclusion Specialist to join our pastoral and SEND team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting students who require additional help with behaviour, engagement, and learning. Working closely with the Intervention & Inclusion Specialist and wider ‘School Family’ team, you will deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom support, and build strong relationships with students and families to improve outcomes and wellbeing.
If you would like to join our Laurus family in a rewarding role that changes the lives of our pupils by empowering them to become the best that they can be then we would love to hear from you. This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week + 5 plus days Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so.
Job PurposeTo work closely with the Intervention & Inclusion Specialist in the delivery of targeted intervention and support to students who struggle to manage their behaviour and/or approach to learning in class. To work collaboratively within the ‘School Family’ team to meet the needs of the students.
Key Skills and Experience- Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
- Experience of working with young people with SEND either in a residential or working environment.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
