We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Estates and Facilities Assistant to join our hardworking site team on a full time basis (37 hours per week). This is a varied and rewarding role, vital to maintaining our premises as a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will assist the Estates and Facilities Manager in delivering a high-quality service across the site, including maintenance of the school, building, grounds and environment. This role will operate across both Laurus Cheadle Hulme and Cheadle Hulme Primary School, as the schools are located on a shared site.

Job Purpose:

  • To be responsible to the Estates Director for the security of the premises and its contents (including the operation of fire and burglar alarms and key holder responsibilities), lighting, heating and maintenance of the premises.
  • To undertake maintenance / repair work as directed.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
  • D.I.Y skills to carry out daily maintenance tasks and basic refurbishment work.
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
