The role is to manage the day-to-day movement, placement, and levels of stock within the business.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that stock levels within the business are managed to ensure maximum product availability and accuracy in line with site production and customer order requirements.
  • Provide the business with stock reporting requirements for finished, consumables, and raw materials.
  • Ensure that any stock exceptions are investigated and closed within agreed timescales, including booking in and out discrepancies, production jobs, any excess stock following production runs, damages and returns.
  • Manage system stock exception levels for 888, 999, Ramp, and Line as examples.
  • Maintain and manage the minimum stock levels as required from the company planning schedule through continued liaison with key stakeholders in the business (planning, production, warehousing, logistics, finance, and merchandising).
  • Manage the placement of stock within sub-contract warehousing facilities.
  • Manage stock counting procedures including cyclical P.I. and annual stock counts.
  • Manage company stock movement profiles through monthly reporting. This will include creation and updating of stock categories, creation of new product part numbers, consolidation of part numbers, management of obsolete products.
