We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to keep our fast-paced personal care manufacturing and packaging lines running at peak performance. You’ll be on the front line of reliability—troubleshooting faults, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and driving improvements to automated equipment to maximise uptime, efficiency, safety, and product quality. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Reliability
    • Carry out planned, preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system faults.
    • Maintain and optimise equipment including: Tube and liquid filling machines, Bottle blowing equipment, Labelling and packing machinery, Conveyors and automated production systems.
    • Reduce downtime through effective fault finding, problem-solving, and maintenance planning.
  • Production Support
    • Provide technical support to production teams during operations.
    • Assist with machine changeovers, setups, and commissioning of new equipment.
    • Identify improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and output.
  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance
    • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures.
    • Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work complies with GMP, safety, and quality standards.
    • Support audits, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
  • Spare Parts & Supplier Support
    • Monitor critical spare parts and maintenance stock levels.
    • Support procurement of parts and liaise with equipment suppliers when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Engineering qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience within FMCG, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, or packaging environments.
  • Experience maintaining automated filling, packaging, labelling, or production machinery.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and reading engineering drawings/schematics.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and workplace safety requirements.
