Laura McCranor Weddings & Events is seeking an exceptional Executive Planning Assistant to support the continued growth of our luxury wedding planning agency. This is a unique opportunity for an organised, proactive and detail oriented executive planning assistant to become an integral part of a business creating extraordinary weddings across the UK and Europe.
Working behind the scenes, you will help ensure every project progresses seamlessly—from supplier communications and proposal creation to travel logistics and planning administration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, anticipates needs before they arise and takes pride in creating calm from complexity.

The Role
As Executive Planning Assistant, you will provide administrative, logistical and planning support across all areas of the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching venues, locations and suppliers aligned with our brand and clientele
- Sending supplier enquiries, obtaining quotations and managing follow up communications
- Building and maintaining relationships with venues and industry partners
- Reviewing supplier contracts and highlighting key information, deadlines and considerations
- Creating bespoke venue and supplier proposals in line within our brand guidelines
- Occasional site visits to venues
- Managing planning timelines, key dates and internal project checklists
- Tracking supplier deadlines, payment schedules and outstanding information
- Maintaining accurate records within Aisle Planner and ensuring planning systems remain up to date
- Creating and updating presentation materials and branded collateral using Canva
- Researching, planning and booking domestic and international travel
- Creating detailed itineraries for weddings, events, site visits and travel schedules
- Coordinating logistics for destination weddings and events
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiencies as the business grows

About You
You are highly organised, resourceful and solutions focused, with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for luxury events. You enjoy managing multiple moving parts, work confidently and independently and take pride in delivering an exceptional standard of work.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within the wedding, events or luxury hospitality industry
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Confidence liaising with suppliers and external partners
- Strong administrative and logistical skills
- Excellent digital literacy and confidence learning new systems
- Experience using Aisle Planner and Canva, or the ability to become proficient quickly
- Based in Scotland
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid UK passport
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant
- Experience as a Wedding Coordinator or Events Coordinator at a five star hotel, luxury venue or exclusive use property
- Experience working on destination weddings or international events
- Degree in Events, Business or Marketing
- Can speak Italian
The Details
Self-employed contractor role Approximately 16–20 hours per week Flexible working across three days per week Remote working with one monthly in person meeting in Glasgow Domestic and international travel may be required. Please note this is a self employed contractor role requiring a minimum commitment of 12 months. While the initial agreement is for one year, we're looking for someone who is excited to grow with the business long term.
