Are you a detail-oriented Project Manager with experience in renewable energy? We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the development lifecycle of renewable energy projects, specifically Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), in the UK. This role will be crucial in ensuring the successful progression of projects from early-stage development through to pre-construction handover, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from land acquisition and planning submission stages through to grid connection and handover to construction teams.
- Oversee planning applications (in coordination with planning consultants where relevant) and navigate associated permitting processes.
- Coordinate project timelines, budgets, risk registers, and reporting.
- Liaise with landowners, technical consultants, DNOs, legal advisors, and planning authorities to progress projects efficiently.
- Manage project risks and resolve barriers to project advancement.
- Maintain excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven project management experience within the renewable energy sector, ideally including Solar PV and/or BESS projects in the UK.
- Strong understanding of UK planning, permitting, and grid connection processes.
- Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder groups.
- Confident overseeing project budgets, schedules, and reporting.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
