This is an exciting opportunity to step into a varied, hands-on role where your expertise will genuinely shape projects from the earliest stages of development through to success. You’ll work closely with a passionate leadership team and external partners, helping to unlock projects across the UK that accelerate our move towards net zero.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Leading and managing planning applications for ground-mounted solar PV and BESS projects.
- Reviewing planning documents, coordinating specialist surveys, and making key recommendations for successful submissions.
- Conducting desk studies, site visits, and preparing planning assessments.
- Advising the management team on planning policy and development strategy.
- Overseeing the work of external planning consultants, funding partners, and managing planning budgets.
- A recognised RTPI planning qualification and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a public or private sector planning role.
- Strong experience in securing consents for renewable energy or similar infrastructure projects (solar/BESS experience highly desirable).
- Excellent project management, analytical, and report-writing skills.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset and a genuine passion for sustainable development.
- Full UK driving license (desirable).
- A unique opportunity to join a close-knit team with an entrepreneurial spirit, passionate about driving real environmental impact.
- Work on meaningful projects that are transforming the UK’s energy landscape.
- Enjoy flexible working arrangements, autonomy in your role, and genuine investment in your growth and success.
- Competitive salary and performance-related bonus.
