Our work spans everything from branding and websites to sales decks, social content, campaigns and day-to-day design support.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be hands-on with design, following the direction and guidance of your project lead and the design team around you, checking in regularly as your work develops. We’ll give you clear tasks and deadlines, with time to discuss ideas and ask questions.
Developing ideas and producing design work
Work across different design disciplines, creating options to discuss with your project lead. Think about who the work is for and what it needs to achieve. You’ll build your design skills through practical experience, learning what makes an idea work.
Working through direction and feedback
Use check-ins to share progress and make sure you understand what’s expected next. Follow direction carefully and ask questions when something is unclear. Apply feedback to your work, making sure your revisions address the points discussed.
Managing your tasks and deadlines
Focus on the task in hand, with help from your project lead to prioritise when you’re working on more than one project. Allow time for reviews and amends before deadlines. Let them know early if a task is taking longer than expected or you need support.
Checking and preparing your work
Check your designs before sharing them, including spelling and grammar as well as layout and consistency. Learn how to prepare files for their intended use and follow the studio’s processes for keeping work organised.
Helping the wider team
Assist other designers with work on their projects and take an interest in what’s happening across the studio. Learn from the people around you and keep exploring design tools and techniques. Share useful things you discover that others could use in their work.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who enjoys design and wants to keep learning. Your portfolio should show us how you think as well as the work you’ve produced.
At least one year’s relevant design experience
A portfolio showing a range of work across print and digital, including branding and websites
A good eye for typography and layout, with care for the details
Confidence using Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch and Figma
Comfort with the technical side of design software and hardware, including basic troubleshooting
A habit of checking your work, including spelling and grammar
Confidence asking questions when you’re unsure
Willingness to take feedback on board and help others with their work
Knowledge of website-building platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace or Shopify useful, but not essential.
