This is a hands-on Shopify Developer role, acting as the primary technical owner of the storefront. You’ll be responsible for the ongoing development, optimisation, and performance of a high-impact DTC platform - working directly with founders and commercial teams in a fast-moving environment. This is not a management role - it’s for someone who enjoys building, fixing, and improving things end-to-end.

- Identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and inefficiencies across the storefront
- Improve site speed, UX, and conversion rates
- Develop and maintain integrations across:
- Subscriptions (e.g. Recharge / Skio)
- Payments
- Marketing tools and third-party apps
- You’re delivering visible improvements within your first 4–6 weeks
- The site becomes faster, smoother, and higher converting
- Integrations are stable, scalable, and well maintained
- You become a trusted technical partner to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience as a hands-on Shopify Developer in a DTC/eCommerce environment
- Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid and Online Store 2.0
- Experience with Shopify APIs (REST/GraphQL) and third-party integrations
- Solid front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Track record of improving performance, UX, and conversion
- Experience with subscription platforms (Recharge, Skio, etc.)
- Comfortable working as a sole technical contributor
- Shopify Plus experience
- Custom app development
- Experience with analytics, A/B testing, or CRO tools
- Familiarity with React/Vue
- You’re hands-on and delivery-focused - you get things done
- You take ownership and don’t wait to be told what to fix

- You enjoy improving real-world customer experiences
- High-growth DTC brand with strong momentum
- Real ownership of a business-critical platform
- Direct access to founders and decision-makers
- Opportunity to make visible, measurable impact quickly
- Lean, fast-paced environment with minimal bureaucracy
- Initial Screening (Launch Lab) - A 25–30 min conversation focused on your hands-on Shopify experience, problem-solving approach, and past work.
- Technical Pairing Session - A live session (~1 hour) working through a practical Shopify-related problem- focused on how you think and approach real scenarios.
- Dirtea Interviews (up to 2 rounds) - Conversations with management and team to assess fit, ways of working, and alignment with the business.
