This is a varied role to work as a peripatetic Occupational Health Advisor (OHA). This position is part of the occupational health (OH) team which is responsible for the efficient delivery of a full occupational health service to all new and existing clients.

This is a home-based role primarily covering the location advertised; however, the role will require flexibility to travel nationally covering clinics and on-site appointments, with occasional overnight stays in line with the business needs.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

A typical working day will involve attending a number of different clinics or on-site appointments as directed by our team of Occupational Health Schedulers. This is a varied role and will entail the full remit of OH including the following:

  • Remote Case management
  • Fit to work medicals
  • Health Surveillance
  • Health promotion
  • Vaccination programmes
  • Wellbeing services
  • Training services
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Current Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
  • Occupational Health qualification, recorded on part 3 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register (Ideal but not essential).
  • HAVs Tier 3 qualified (or be willing to undertake the training for further qualification).
  • Confident working alone with a proactive can-do attitude and resilient personality.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to remain motivated in a challenging working environment.
  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills.
CONTINUED TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Take responsibility for maintaining evidence of continued personal development.
  • Attend all relevant training internally and externally.
  • Commit to and take responsibility for continued personal development.
  • Share learning experiences with other team members.
  • Discuss one's own development needs with the Line Manager in order to consistently achieve best practice and continuously improve personal performance.
  • Willing to pursue further qualifications as deemed necessary within current legislation.
