In this role, you will research real-life incidents and develop detailed story plots that will serve as the foundation for our scriptwriting team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in psychological drama, crime, mystery, bizarre behaviour, and thrillers.
Responsibilities
- Story Plot Development: Create detailed story plots inspired by real-life incidents, including character arcs, conflict, suspense, twists, and a clear narrative structure for the scriptwriter.
- Research True Incidents: Identify and research real-life stories involving drama, mystery, bizarre events, thrillers, and unusual human behaviour.
- Creative Inputs: Add storytelling ideas, emotional hooks, unexpected turns, and plot twists to make each story more engaging and cinematic.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the creative and scriptwriting team to ensure the stories align with the channel’s style, tone, and audience expectations.
Requirements
- Strong interest in US-based psychological drama, mystery, crime, bizarre incidents, thrillers, and true-story-based content. The ideal candidate should regularly consume content in these genres, such as books, documentaries, films, podcasts, YouTube channels, or articles.
- Strong storytelling sense with the ability to structure incidents into engaging plots.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with online research tools, articles, news platforms, Reddit, forums, YouTube, podcasts, and other public sources.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and provide well-organized research material.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or interest in storytelling, creative writing, research, journalism, content creation, screenwriting, true crime, documentaries, or digital media.
- Prior experience in researching stories, writing summaries, developing plots, or creating content for YouTube, podcasts, short films, documentaries, or social media platforms will be a plus.
