About the job

Little Red Rooster are looking for a trusted Account Manager to lead day-to-day client communications on a portfolio of consumer lifestyle clients. You’ll turn briefs into clear plans and measurable outcomes, nurture strong relationships with clients and media, and keep delivery tight – on scope, on time, and to a high standard. You’ll mentor junior colleagues, bring a confident editorial voice to content, and spot opportunities that grow accounts and reputation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own day‑to‑day client relationships across a varied portfolio, advising with confidence and escalating risks early with proposed solutions.
  • Plan and deliver PR activity for your portfolio of clients, from brief and sell‑in to measurement, learning, and optimisation.
  • Lead media relations: shape persuasive stories, run proactive and seasonal sell‑ins, and secure quality coverage.
  • Produce and edit high‑standard written content, adapting tone by audience and channel.
  • Collaborate with social specialists where relevant.
  • Review calendars and copy, sense‑check reporting, and guide community engagement.
  • Manage WIPs and workflows, ensuring targets are met and quality benchmarks are maintained.
  • Supporting and coaching junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and deliver top‑quality work.
  • Support the agency in winning new business – helping to spot opportunities and work with the SLT to develop new business pitches.

About you

The ideal candidate:

  • You are an established Account Manager (or Senior Account Executive ready to step up) with PR agency experience working on consumer/lifestyle brands.
  • You have a good understanding of social media, ideally with some experience managing social media for consumer/lifestyle brands.
  • You have worked on winning new business pitches and regularly flag new business opportunities the company should go for.
  • You are bright, passionate, and driven with enthusiasm and a ‘can‑do,’ proactive attitude.
  • You love building super‑strong, long‑lasting relationships with your clients and the media and have solid consumer lifestyle press contacts.
  • You are always super positive, inclusive, respectful, and friendly to your peers, suppliers, clients, and media.
  • You are extremely organised, work well under pressure and thrive on a fast pace.
  • You are determined to build upon your PR experience, strengthening relationships with media and clients to drive your accounts forward.
  • You are hungry for success and willing to go the extra mile to MAKE SHIT HAPPEN!

Candidates from a specialist PR background will also be considered, but contacts in the wider lifestyle space are essential.

Sponsorship is not available for this role – you must already have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
