Latte is recruiting for Here Be Dragons. This probably isn’t the job for you. Unless you like the pace. The unpredictability. The “what if we did this instead?” kind of conversations. If you want to lead creative work that starts conversations, not just press coverage, Here Be Dragons might just be your people.
About the agency
Here Be Dragons is a fiercely independent PR agency built on earned-first ideas, punchy activations and campaigns that make headlines for all the right reasons.
They\’re 15 people strong, based in Shoreditch, and proud of the fact that they win big brand work without the bloat of a big network agency. They’ve made 2024 their strongest year yet – and now they’re looking for a sharp, culturally plugged-in Account Manager/ Senior Account Manager to join the team and help shape what’s next.
From launching headline-grabbing brand stunts to delivering fast-turnaround culture-first campaigns, their work spans some of the most talked-about names in FMCG, drinks, entertainment and hospitality.
You won’t find the client list here – but if you’ve seen it in the news or on your feed lately, there’s a good chance they were behind it. With a mix of retained accounts and punchy project work, no two weeks look the same – and that’s exactly how they like it.
The basics:
- Hybrid working: 3 days in Shoreditch office, 2 days remote
- 27 days holiday + Christmas closure + Bank Holidays
Perks you’ll love:
- Dragon Club: quarterly perks for living the agency values (including FaceGym, Unplugged cabins etc)
- Subscription to Calm and Self Space credits for wellbeing
- Breakfast Tuesdays, Art Pass and cultural team days out
- Bonus scheme and ad hoc rewards
About the role
This isn’t for an AD looking to step up. This is for someone already at Associate Director level who wants to lead a team across an incredible portfolio of accounts. You’ll be trusted to provide senior client counsel, pitch new ideas to grow your accounts, coach your team and represent the agency with confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leverage existing relationships to lead and convert new opportunities organically and proactively
- Play a lead role in new business and strategic growth of your client portfolio
- Run your own projects across drinks, entertainment, FMCG and hospitality
- Contribute to and sometimes lead the creative process in your team
- Mentoring juniors and flying the flag when senior leadership isn’t in the room
About you
You’re already a PR Associate Director working at a PR agency and you know how to hold your own. You lead with curiosity, creativity and compassion and you’ve got a proven track record in delivering smart work for consumer brands.
Key attributes:
- Building client trust and having gravitas when it comes to client counsel will be two of your key attributes.
- Commercially-minded and confident upselling or spotting new project opportunities
- Creativity will run through all your work. You’ll be someone that knows how manage a creative ideation process and develop nuggets of ideas into full campaigns and strategies.
