As a Community Ranger, your responsibilities will include maintaining and facilitating access to recreation facilities for the community. You will engage with opportunities to generate income, answer community enquiries and strengthen community connections and communications. You will build meaningful relationships and volunteer involvement to contribute to the overall enjoyment of the visitor experience.
The West Forest District team are custodians of 38,500 ha of the Nation’s Forests in the west and south‑west of England. Our woods can be found from Shrewsbury in the north to the majestic veteran trees of Savernake Forest near Marlborough, and the conifer forests on Bodmin Moor, and ancient woodlands of the Glynn Valley in Cornwall. The role sits within the Mortimer Forest beat, based out of our Ludlow office, over 4 days per week.
