Overview
THE ROLE will be varied with a high degree of autonomy dealing with all types and scale of harvesting operations. You will be expected to maximise opportunities with forest management colleagues, existing clients, or pursue standing sale or contracting opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage harvesting operations with autonomy across various scales.
- Maximise opportunities with forest management colleagues, existing clients, or by pursuing standing sale or contracting opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding of crop/standing sale assessment, timber marketing, site planning, harvesting systems; experience working with contractors.
- Ability to work to industry guidelines and awareness of environmental legislation.
- Academic qualification in Forestry preferred but not essential; selection based on experience, knowledge, and qualifications; professional acumen, commercial awareness, and excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Experience in contract, project, and health and safety management advantageous.
Prerequisites
- Full, valid driving licence. New recruits would be supported to achieve these additional qualifications where appropriate to the role.
