Our construction clients have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Manager to join their growing team. The role will be remote with frequent travel to meet with contractors, consultants, and clients in London and surrounding areas, as well as travel to our clients' Head Office close to Portsmouth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the main technical contact for contractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop project-specific solutions.
  • Develop and coordinate interface details between fire curtains and construction substrates (soffits, ceilings, headboxes, etc.).
  • Advise on fixing methodologies, buildability, and installation constraints.
  • Define and develop compliant fire-stopping solutions around fire curtain installations.
  • Interpret and present fire test evidence and third-party assessment data.
  • Liaise with third-party fire engineers on non-standard compliance routes.
  • Identify technical risks or evidence gaps and coordinate with Engineering.
  • Support tenders and quotations with accurate technical and scope input.
  • Work closely with Estimating and Commercial teams to ensure risk-aware pricing.
  • Coordinate and attend site surveys with installation teams as required.
  • Produce clear pre-construction handover documentation for Projects.
  • Act as a key link between Sales, Engineering, and Projects teams.
  • Contribute to the development of standard details and technical guidance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Preferably a strong understanding of fire testing, compliance & construction.
  • Experience developing or reviewing fixing and installation methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in a client-facing construction role (pre-construction, technical sales, or similar).
  • Good knowledge of UK building regulations and fire safety requirements.
  • Commercial awareness alongside a strong compliance mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Confidence working independently within a busy, project-driven environment.
