Our engineering clients based close to Portsmouth have an exciting opportunity for a Test Technician to perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of electronic components and assemblies, ensuring products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- The primary duty of the successful candidate would be to work within the Product Design team, completing project test activities for the department, whilst meeting deadlines and department KPI’s.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical testing on connector parts and assemblies.
- Set up and operate laboratory test equipment, for example but not limited to; oscilloscopes, power supplies, force gauges & CMMs.
- Perform simulation testing on our parts using Ansys.
- Record, document and report on test results accurately in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to report on testing results.
- Plan and manage daily tasks.
- Uphold EN9100 standards by adhering to company procedures whilst seeking continuous improvement and implement techniques to improve the role and business.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a production or lab test environment.
- Familiarity with test instrumentation and measurement principles.
- Good documentation skills.
