Our engineering and manufacturing clients based close to Havant have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

  • To carry out all inspections such as first off, last off, incoming, and outgoing goods, of detailed parts, assemblies and documentation in a timely and efficient manner, using mechanical or electronic measuring equipment.
  • Responsible for verifying components meet specification and customer requirements using detailed drawings, the customers condition of supply, company procedures and layouts.
  • Final release of parts to customer including raising and signing certificates of conformity.
  • Action and complete First and Last Article Inspection reports as per customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the non-conformance process.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers and personnel on quality requirements and non-conformances.
  • This includes reporting all component and documentation non-conformances using the appropriate documents and forms to the relevant Team Leader and Supervisor.
  • Non-Conformance control reports including Root cause analysis, correction, corrective, and verification of completed actions.
  • Carry out internal audits against the relevant standard/certification held.
  • Good understanding of documentation control and management in accordance with AS9100.
  • Represent quality at the Tier meetings to provide feedback and support to all departments.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience working within a similar Quality Technician or Engineering position.
  • Understanding and experience working with AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Experience working with First Article Inspections.

Working hours

A working week is 37 hours, with the working day taking place between 8AM and 5PM Monday to Thursdays and 8AM to 1PM on a Friday.
