We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Mechanical Estimator to join a fast-paced team environment for a leading engineering company in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of operational and administrative functions while supporting business growth and delivering excellent service standards. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and confident managing multiple priorities in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the wider team
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting systems
  • Assist with project coordination and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timelines
  • Support process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives
  • Handle enquiries professionally and ensure a high standard of client or customer service
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

Ideal Experience & Skills

  • Experience with mechanical systems and or piping, any prefabricated systems experience advantageous
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative, operational, or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business systems
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach to work
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is advantageous

Salary

£40,000 - £45,000

Hours

Monday to Friday with a lunchtime finish on Fridays
