Logistics Coordinator in Southampton

Logistics Coordinator Introduction We are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of goods and equipment across the UK, Europe and worldwide within a fantastic engineering company. The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience in logistics, transport coordination or freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of European transport, customs procedures and international shipping documentation. Responsibilities Coordinate collections, deliveries and equipment returns across the UK, Europe and internationally. Arrange transport with hauliers and freight forwarders, balancing cost, reliability and deadlines. Prepare and check shipping documents, customs declarations and border references to ensure compliance. Liaise with customs agents, drivers, suppliers and transport partners. Monitor shipments, communicate updates and resolve delays or documentation issues. Coordinate temporary exports, ATA Carnets and equipment returns where required. Maintain accurate shipment records, proof of delivery and transport costs. Check transport invoices against agreed rates and investigate discrepancies. Keep up to date with customs regulations and international transport requirements. Provide general administrative and operational support to the sales team.
