We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Electronics Design Engineer to work for a leading Electronics company based in Southampton.
The role of the Electronics Design Engineer will be to support the design and development of specialist Human Machine Interface (HMI) products.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Design Engineering team to create and develop electronic assemblies for specialist HMI products, guiding projects from concept through manufacturing and final testing.
- Provide application support and implement design modifications.
- Develop and maintain test software for electronic assemblies.
- Design and produce multi-layer PCBs using PCB CAD software.
- Create and support analogue and digital test assemblies, including microprocessor programming.
- Manage all design and test documentation, overseeing the transition to production.
The ideal Experience & Background:
- Industry experience within HMI (Human Machine Interface) or similar field.
- Proven ability in electronics fault-finding down to the component level.
- Hands-on experience with electronic prototype testing.
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the design and manufacturing processes for HMI products or similar technologies.
- Strong collaboration skills, enabling effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage current technologies and materials to develop innovative electronic designs that solve customer challenges.
- Proficiency in circuit design software and computer-based design tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data and electrical designs in a clear and understandable manner.
- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics and electrical interfaces.
- Expertise in creating complex and accurate circuit board layouts.
Salary: £55K - £65K
