Our client is currently looking for an SMT operator to work within their growing electronics business near Southampton. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out all activities within your role to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. * Support the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly line/equipment, maintenance, equipment/software troubleshooting, and debugging of new and existing production assembly programs. If you can programme or would like to learn, please let me know! * Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis of defects and field returns. * Conduct inspections, corrective and preventive actions, and other quality assurance-related tasks to ensure that the SMT line produces high-quality products. * Ensure all safety procedures are followed. * Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and performance. Experience/Skills Desired: * Working knowledge of SMT – lets talk about your skills. * Good communication skills. * Good standard of education. * Not colour blind. * PC literate.
