Our manufacturing client based in Waterlooville are looking for an Sewing Machinist to join the team on an ongoing contract with a view to go permanent. The successful candidate will be working within the fabric department. You will need hand tool experience and have worked in a mechanical background or with fabrics. You will be using work instructions to cut and sew fabric panels together while maintaining high level of accuracy and quality. Offer: • Hours: Mon to Thurs (Apply online only) & Fri: (Apply online only) • £11.80ph, Overtime rate are applicable Duties: • Reading engineering drawings • Ensuring products are made to customer specification • Working with a variety of hand tools • Operating industrial sewing machines • To take on any other tasks as deemed reasonable by management Candidate Requirements: • Experience in using industrial sewing machines such as twin needle, single zig zag stitch, and overlocking machines is desired but training will be given. • Experience in working in a factory environment • Excellent attention to detail • Worked within a mechanical background • Keen to learn
