Due to company growth, we are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Supervisor to join a leading manufacturing company based in Romsey.
The Fabrication Supervisor will be responsible for leading and supervising the fabrication team, providing direct support to the Production Manager. This role will involve hands-on production-based skills and the ability to use various hand and power tools. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, with an excellent attitude and aptitude for progression and work ethics, and importantly imparting this to their team members.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising the Fabrication team
- Ensuring the efficient and timely manufacture of the company’s fabricated products/solutions
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, standards, and specifications
- Ensuring that all Fabricators and processes are safe and comply with health and safety requirements
- Cooperating and communicating effectively with Production management and Projects team
- Supporting production planning to ensure availability of materials and labour resources
- Managing production reporting processes
- Supporting the training and development of the fabrication team members
- Setting of objectives, KPI targets, and performance monitoring
Ideal Skills & Experience
- Fabrication experience desirable but not essential; however, previous workshop experience ideally within a large team (20+)
- NVQ in Team Leading / Business improvement techniques or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in Team Leading, Supervising or Management
Salary/Hours/Benefits
- £35,620 - £45,000 (Salary will be based on experience and includes the additional hour overtime worked per day in the salary range which is worked across the business)
- Overtime Available
- 7.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 13.00 finish on Fridays (these hours include the 5 hours overtime per week)
- Bonuses paid out 1-2 times per year (based on company performance)
