Our engineering client is looking for a Grinder to join their busy team in Dorset, manufacturing high-precision engineering components. The role will involve:
- Carrying out precision grinding and honing operations
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Using micrometers, verniers and gauges
- Working accurately to tight tolerances
- Inspecting components to ensure quality standards are met
- Learning and developing new machining techniques
Candidates should have completed an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training, with a good understanding of engineering principles and precision measurement. Previous grinding, honing, milling, turning or CNC experience would be beneficial, although specialist training can be provided.
Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-5:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am-11:30am
40 hours per week
Pay: £16-£18 per hour, depending on experience
