Accounts Assistant We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business looking to appoint a reliable and organised Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys transactional finance, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking for a long-term role within a supportive and expanding business.

Introduction Working closely within the finance team, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the accounts function, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key

Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, matching to purchase orders and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Preparing supplier payment runs and resolving invoice queries.
  • Raising customer invoices and credit notes.
  • Allocating customer payments and supporting credit control activities.
  • Processing daily bank transactions and bank reconciliation's.
  • Assisting with month-end finance processes.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, fixed asset registers and employee expenses.
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance department.
  • Supporting payroll administration when required. Ideal Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Bookkeeping role.
  • Strong knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and happy to support the business as it grows and implements a new ERP systems
  • Someone seeking a long-term support role rather than rapid career progression Desirable Skills:
  • Experience using Sage, Xero, SAP or other ERP/accounting systems.
  • Manufacturing or distribution sector experience.
  • AAT qualification (or currently studying).
  • Knowledge of VAT and reconciliation's. Salary: £30K - £35K (Full time on-site role) Hours: Days - Monday to Friday (Flex on Start Time) Benefits and Whats On Offer:
