Mechanical Assembly Fitter
Our manufacturing client based in Romsey are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company who offer great training and development.
Job Description
The primary role of the Mechanical Assembly Fitter will involve the fitting and fabrication of pipes via various techniques. A background in metal or plastic fabrication techniques would be ideal but candidates without experience can be trained.
Key Responsibilities.
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings for company specifications
- Constructing plastic pipe assemblies
- Fabricate, assemble, form, reshape, rework and repair plastic products
- Mark out sheets and pipes using measuring and marking tools.
- Assemble plastic components by using various welding and jointing techniques
- Carry out weld testing and inspection
Ideal Skills & Experience
- Although trainees will also be considered the ideal background would be to have some fabrication experience in either metal or plastic fabrication.
- Without fabrication experience, backgrounds that could transfer the skills would be in assembly, fitting, machining.
Salary/Hours/Benefits

29,200 β 35,600
(Salary will be based on experience and includes the additional hour over time worked per day in the salary range) -
7.00 β 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 13.00 finish on Fridays (these hours include the 5 hours over time per week)
