Our engineering client (near Eastleigh) is currently looking for a 2D draftsperson. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with sheet metal / steel fabrication. The role will be working within the Architectural Design department, covering a wide range of products and varied projects in the UK and Europe. In-house training will be given in company procedures, document management and standard products.

Responsibilities:

  • Draw, update, and maintain designs
  • Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
  • Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements
  • Producing CAD models and drawings
  • Creating Bills of Materials / Parts Lists
  • Detail drawings for manufacture in UK and Europe
  • Upkeep of project documentation and drawing revisions

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experienced Cad Draftsperson
  • 2D Autodesk and AutoCAD
  • Sheet Metal, Steel Fabrication, Special Purpose Machinery
  • Minimum 5 years experience within a similar field or role (preferred)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:15pm, Friday 8:30am to 1:00pm.

Salary: £38,000p/a - £45,000p/a

Additional benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. After 5 years of service, holiday will increase to 30 days plus bank holidays. Free parking on site.
